The frequency relay WA-FR8 / G measures the frequency of generators and motors. The principle is based on a frequency measurement of the voltage of the generator. The input range is 80 - 500 V AC. The transmitter of the WA-FR8 / G outputs the frequency at the output as standard signal 2-10 V DC.

Monitoring for underfrequency and overfrequency

In addition, the WA-FR8 / G monitors the measured variable for underfrequency and overfrequency. A relay with change-over contact is available for signaling, and the status is indicated by LEDs on the device. The tripping limits are set via coding switches.
