What are cylinders and valves?

Cylinders, also known as hydraulic cylinders, are mechanical actuators that power systems via fluidized, or hydraulic, pressure. They offer power to machines and systems in industries including (but not limited to): civil engineering, vehicle manufacturing, military and defense, marine functioning and bottling. Because the needs of cylinder applications are so diverse, cylinders come in many different forms. Some of the most common cylinder types are the high pressure cylinder, blow mold cylinder, double acting cylinder and standard cylinder. We also willing to work with you to customize the cylinder you may need for your application.

Valves are fittings that direct, regulate and otherwise control the flow of fluids throughout a system. They do so by opening, closing or partially closing fluid flow passageways, known as ports. Valves usually have just two ports, but they can actually have up to 20. Among the most common are 3-way valves and 4-way valves. Quite often, valves work in conjunction with cylinders. Good valves are essential to a safe and properly functioning hydraulic system.
