Prism-shaping saw
UHP 250/700 Universal prisming saw
The UHP 250/700 universal prisming saw is a machine intended for the production of prisms. When material goes through the machine, slab cut + maximum one piece of the side board on each side of the timber can be cut off.
The saw is intended for small and medium size operations, as its sawing capacity is about 20 000 m3 a year. Thin logs - up to a diameter of 25 cm (the diameter of the circle including crookedness) and a length of 2,0 – 5,0 metres can be processed on the machine. The modular conception of the machine makes it possible to offer customers several versions of driving motors, various input and output devices and various modifications of saw discs.
The sturdy stand of the machine is welded from steel sheets and profiles. On the input side, the machine is equipped with a hydraulically operated holding mechanism. This mechanism, along with gaping wedges at the machine output, provides for very good guideway of the sawn material even when the material moves fairly quickly.
The saw discs are assembled on the suspension hub which is fixed directly to the electric motor shaft. The distance between individual discs in the suspension is determined by precise distance rings. The height adjustment of working spindles is done in such a way that the whole spindle moves in the prismatic guide of the foundation frame. This movement is propelled by the electric motor.
The machine is also equipped with two lines of backward projection retainers. These retainers are controlled by means of maunally operated levers. All movable parts of the machine are covered well and when the covers are open, the machine cannot be turned on. The covers are equipped with anti-noise coating. Waste is exhausted through the upper hole in the machine box which is equipped with a directing flap.
The delivery includes a well-organised control board and an electric switchboard.
