IP55 Riser Bar
What is it used for?
One of the most common applications for IP55 busbar is to distribute power across several floors of a building structure. Typical installations would be commercial properties, such as offices, and residential scenarios, such as hotels and high-rise flats.
Tap off units are added at specific locations identified in the design phase, to allow the power to be transferred from the rising busbar to local distribution boards where local circuits are wired from.
The tap off units and busbar are designed in such a way that they can safely be plugged in and unplugged while the rising busbar is ‘live’, with only the tap off unit being worked with needing to be in the off position. This allows a building to continue operating with no need to isolate the entire system.
