The maintenance-free smoke exhaust damper EK90, series EK92, is classified as EI 90 (vedw, hodw, i↔o) S 1500 Cmod HOT400 / 30 MA multi. It complies with the European product standard EN 12101-8.

The smoke control damper is to be used for mechanical systems for smoke extraction and ventilation and thus generally also as a so-called "combination flap". It is manufactured in sizes from 200 x 200 mm to 1500 x 800 mm (W x H) and overall lengths 350 mm to 850 mm. It is suitable for flow rates up to 43.200m³. Installation is easy and practical. It does not require the otherwise necessary sealing stops and is thus particularly energy-efficient. The new sealing system increases the air flow through the internal cross-section. The pressure loss and the expended fan performance are much lower. The sound power important for ventilation systems is also significantly lower.

The fire protection tests were carried out in accordance with EN 1366-10 and EN 1366-2. The classification "MA" proven for use in Germany means that the smoke control damper can still be opened after full fire exposure for 25 minutes. Both an automatic release and a manual is possible. Smoke extraction ducts and grids may be connected.

In addition, the EK90 smoke vent damper, EK92 series, complies with the HOT classification, which means that the smoke control damper closes and opens at 400 ° C fire exposure at least after 30 minutes.
