The conveyor system consists of a wide variety of elements such as lifting and lowering stations, transverse shifts, conveyor sections that can and cannot accumulate, etc. These elements enable a flexible material flow concept, which can include bypasses, crossings or switches. The workpieces are transported through the painting process on a goods carrier (pallet) that is not permanently connected to the conveyor system. Both stop-and-go and continuous modes of operation with different process speeds within the paint shop are possible.
