Decentralised field devices

Modules from Pilz allow you to achieve a high degree of decentralisation. Devices with protection type IP20 (PDP20) and IP67 (PSS67, PDP67) are available for decentralised applications directly in the field.

Modules with protection type IP67 are resistant to dirt and water. There are input modules available with SafetyNET p for integration into the automation system PSS 4000 and input modules for connection to PNOZmulti. With the PDP20 interface modules, Pilz offers interface modules for short signal paths decentrally in the field.

Individual adaptation to your application – Benefits of field devices

  • Less planning and design work, thanks to simple installation
  • Simple implementation of a modular machine concept
  • Saving of space in the control cabinet
  • Integrated in dirt and water-repellent housings
  • Can be used for applications with high demands on hygiene
  • Individual adaptation to your application

Simple decentralisation – Features of field devices

  • Just one cable for communication and supply (plug and play via M12 plug-in connector)
  • Simple diagnostics due to point-to-point connection between the modules
  • Individual sensors can be diagnosed on the modules
  • Possibility of connection to various evaluation devices
  • Wide variety of automation architectures possible
  • Protection type IP20 = protection against the ingress of solid foreign matter with a diameter > 12.5 mm, no protection against water
  • Protection type IP67 = dust-tight, protection against temporary immersion
