Fans with great performance

In general, with all forms of air transport, there is resistance to the air movement due to friction. This means that the total pressure becomes less in the direction of the air flow. In order to produce and maintain the air transport, it is necessary that a pressure increase is created somewhere in the system that can compensate for the pressure loss. This is achieved in process exhaust systems - generally with radial or axial fans characterized by the direction in which the air exits the fan.

A fan's performance is always based on the current volume flow through the suction opening. That is that if the volume flow is specified at a different temperature than that which occurs at the fan in the current operating case, corrections must be made for this.

In most cases, motor and fan are delivered as a single unit. JKF has designed the individual fan optimally, and it is important for efficiency to choose the right fan for the specific task. The speed at which the fan must run is selected based on the operating point on the curve sheet for the specific fan. The required added power depends on the resistance in the system.

There are many types of fan wheels, each of which is best suited for specific tasks:Radial fan with P wheelHas flat backward-bent blades and is designed for clean air transport. The type has the following properties:- High efficiency- Robust construction- By changing the installation resistance, only small variations in the volume flow are obtained

Centrifugal fan with T-wheel

Has backward curved blades and is designed for the transport of various materials. The type has the following properties:- Medium and high pressure version- Robust construction- High degree of self-cleaning- Handles large amounts of material- Available in a special version for transporting plastic and paper
