BJ-Gear A/S has a wide range of worm gears. Due to the modular structure, we offer countless combination options. This applies both to the choice of gear housings, mounting options, connection options, flanges, shaft designs, oil types, surface treatments, etc.
Worm gear - simple and well-proven
The BJ worm gear is a simple and well-thought-out construction. We only use high-quality components such as housings in cast iron, aluminum and stainless steel, worm in hardened and ground insert steel and worm wheel in high-quality bronze with special alloys that ensure optimal wear resistance. The worm gear seals have a dust lip, which effectively resists dust and water. In addition, the gears are lifetime lubricated with synthetic oil.
Quiet
Our worm gears and actuators are very quiet. This is due to the smooth operation of the worm gear combined with the use of cast iron and great precision in component manufacturing and assembly. In connection with our precision gears, there is an additional focus on any sound that can be interpreted as a noise from the gear. The general noise level from our gear is therefore reduced to an absolute minimum.
Angle gear
In the worm gear, the input shaft and the output shaft are perpendicular to each other. This often proves to be a decisive advantage, making installation of the gear much simpler and extra compact.
Solid storage in a solid house
The output shaft of the BJ worm gear is very solidly mounted in the gear housing and is designed as a direct suspension for wheels, movable arms and other parts rather than having to build a separate suspension.
Atex approved
Our standard worm gears are approved for zone 2 and 22, but we offer to supply all our products for zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 according to the requirements.
Self-locking effect
For larger gear ratios, BJ-Gear's worm gear will provide a self-locking effect, which in many situations can be used as a brake or as extra safety. Also spindle gears with a trapezoidal spindle are self-locking, which makes them ideal for a wide range of solutions.
