Series C_AI/AO CAL Test System

The test system is developed to Calibrate and Test the Accuracy of Analog Input and Analog Output Boards.

Problem Statement

The Calibration and Accuracy test of the AI/AO boards was performed by using the existing console-based application. The customer found difficulty in monitoring, logging, and analyzing the data for multiple boards.

Challenge

• Understanding the Basic program.
• Protocol communication with AI/AO boards.
• Channel switching.
• Data acquisition.

Solution

• Lab VIEW based test Software to communicate with both Analog Input and Analog Output boards using the Serial Communication.
• Customised PCB for high density channel switching.
• The test data is logged in MySQL Data Base.

Hardware Used

• DMM to acquire data.
• Krohn-Hite is used to source
• Power Supply to power up FTA Boards.

Impact to Customer

• The test software can test both Analog Input and Analog Output boards automatically.
• Data Logging and Error Logging has very helpful for customer to debug the fault/failed FTAs.
• The 50% of productive rate can be increased.
