The test system is developed to do power, calibration and functional test of Analog Input and Analog Output (AIO) signal conditioning boards.

Problem Statement

Customer found difficulty in doing functional tests manually as multiple test points have to be accessed on PCB.

Challenge

• Accessing multiple test points on PCB.
• Testing 6 UUT’s sequentially.
• Calibrating analog boards.
• Monitoring high resolution current(mA).
• Checking HART communication protocol with UUT.

Solution

• The LabVIEW test software developed to do power, calibration and functional test of Analog Input and Output signal conditioning boards.
• Bed of Nail fixture to hold 6 PCB and to access multiple test point.
• 8 ½-digit DMM used to acquire high resolution data.
• Multifunctional switch matrix module used to switch from one UUT to another.
• Krohn-Hite used for high accurate current (mA) source.
• HART modem and temperature transducer used to check the HART communication protocol with UUT.
