CO 2 deaerates
A CO 2 deaerator is often used for technologies that use ion exchange to increase the capacity of the ion exchangers. This applies in particular to decarbonisation plants or demineralisation plants that use UPCORE™. The CO 2 deaerator is placed as an integral part of the demineralization plant between the cation column and the anion column. This increases the capacity of the anions and thus extends their shelf life.
By removing CO 2 from the water, the capacity of the ion exchangers is improved. In this way, the intervals between regeneration are extended, the consumption of chemicals is reduced and the shelf life of the ion exchangers is extended.
