Traveling circular knife

The travelling circular knife machine CCM 6 cuts rigid profiles and tubes accurately to length. The CCM 6 achieves very long processing times of several seconds for excellent "final trim quality" thanks to a standard servo linear drive for the tool carrier, and at the same time extremely short cycle times of less than one second for machining short parts at high line speeds. Added to this is the servo linear drive for circular knife feed with different feed speeds for different material sections, e.g. a gentle material penetration or knife exit with low feed to reduce burr formation.

High speed ranges

As far as the knife speed is concerned, we offer you outstanding possibilities of alternatively 2,000 – 6,000 rpm or 4,000 – 12,000 rpm. This means that there are no limits to the use of various types of circular knives, including clamping and grinding in continuous operation. Special Features

EXCHANGEABLE TOOLS

The CCM 6 offers a powerful platform for the complete in-line machining of rigid plastic profiles, which can also be equipped with quick-change tools or drilling and milling modules depending on the task.

ADDITIONAL CUTTING TOOL

The circular cutting machine CCM 6 is prepared for the use of an additional punching tool. This turns the Metzner circular cutting machine into a real all-rounder, which can also be ideally used for materials without steel reinforcement.

INTELLIGENT GAP DETECTION

The optional gap detection system positions the cut exactly in the gap of the metal carrier, thus ensuring a burr-free cut for steel-reinforced profiles. This improves the cutting quality and the service life of the circular knife.

PROFILE CLAMP

The profile clamp ensures optimum fixing of the plastic profile during the cut. This decreases the chance of the profile being distorted. The profile clamp also allows complex profile contours to be cut at a very high cutting quality.

CUTTING OUT DEFECTIVE AREAS

With automatic quality control, this option provides an independent waste cut for faulty material areas and prevents the processing of parts that do not meet the specification.
