Throughout the last decade, McAlpin Industries has integrated robotic welding cells as part of our downstream processes. Now with over 20 robotic weld cells in-house, our experts can assist with reducing costs on your next project.

Our dedicated engineering team works directly with the tool room on designing and building most tooling. This allows us to increase speed and maintain engineering control of the cell tools. Many of our weld cells also have automated material handling systems for improved efficiency.

The latest robotic weld cell we have installed, the ABB B-750 FlexArc robot, is capable of MIG welding carbon and stainless steel in large or complex shapes weighing up to 1650 lbs. (750 kg). When a large part is running on this robot, a synchronous positioner can be used where the positioner and robot move together for more accurate welds. In addition to the synchronous positioner, our customers can also save time and money by reducing overall set up time through offline programming utilizing Octopuz software.
