For concentrating on specific systems, L3 MAPPS provides part task trainers, ideal for field operators to train on plant systems themselves and for part task trainers to be connected to the full scope, main control room operator training simulator to enable realistic crew training. These part task trainers use the same high fidelity models and comprehensive tools as L3 MAPPS’ full scope simulators to control and understand the complex power plant systems simulated. They are additional tools to assist with the task of training operators, obtaining operator licenses/certification, optimizing plant operating procedures and decreasing plant operating costs.
