General Description

One nice application for a rotary system is to use a single system to run two different parts. This welder system has eight fixtures but only a 4-stop indexer. Around the dial plate the even fixtures are for the right-hand part, and the odd fixtures are for the left-hand. The operator selects the part to be welded (left or right), and only the actuators required will come down to weld. This machine has four welders, but each part is welded on twice. This type machine works well in the automotive accounts where the customer wants to run different parts with no machine setup. (Interior trim, exterior lighting, etc.)

This system also has a central vacuum system to hold the parts to the fixture.
