Fineblanking

Fineblanking is a unique stamping process that produces minimum die roll with an improved sheared edge condition compared to traditional stamping methods. This allows CSS to make parts with challenging features that would typically require secondary operations or might be beyond a base stamping capability. Fineblanked components have a part flatness that is nearly impossible to achieve with conventional processes. Coining can be incorporated into the process, and smaller holes closer to a parts’ edge are also feasible.
