The devices with parallel axes (input shaft parallel to output shaft) perform oscillating or intermittent rotation by means of a double flat cam with a conjugate profile in contact with idle rollers. As an alternative to orthogonal systems, they are low cost devices, particularly suitable where very high precision is not required.
