The ABP-ITPC-2G-160 accommodates the power, voice and DATA requirement for the AN/PRC 160 transceiver. The transceiver is securely mounted on a Jerk-And-Run mount inside the case.
The ABP-ITPC-2G-160 contains high efficiency AC and DC power supplies, rechargeable backup battery pack, charger and control circuits that allow the user to operate the transceiver from any AC power source world wide (85 270 VAC / 47 440 Hz including aircraft power) or any 9 36V DC power source. The power unit supplies an uninterruptible power to the transceiver while charging the internal rechargeable backup battery that automatically powers the transceiver during an AC or DC power failure. The internal battery pack is a modular, removable, high density, rechargeable battery that is less than 1/3 the size of BA-5590 or BB-2590 battery. Three Night Vision Goggles (NVG) compatible test indicator lights indicate the operating status of the unit and a fully charged battery.
A High Efficiency Amplified Speaker is included for local or remote operation. A standard military handset/headset, H-250/U or similar type (not supplied) can be connected to the Amplified Speaker. A special Automatic Level Control (ALC) circuit at the audio input insures constant audio level at the speaker regardless to the level of the received audio from the transceiver unit. The speaker 5 Watts of clear, crisp audio overcomes noisy environment and provides the user with consistent audio clarity.
The ABP-ITPC-2G-160 allows for huge dollar savings by eliminating the requirement for expensive batteries and conserving batteries for critical missions. The ABP-ITPC-2G-160 will pay for itself after only one month of operation.
Internal storage space is provided for the Speaker, cables and G.F.E. Transceiver, Laptop Computer, handset.The ITPC is a robust, water/airtight and sand/dust proof case.
Including one Uninterruptible Power Supply, one High Efficiency Amplified Speaker, Cables (AC, DC and Audio) and one Operation / Maintenance manual.
