3D printing technology LPBF
The LPBF technology of the BOLD SERIES
The LPBF process from One Click Metal is based on selective laser melting, in which metal powder melts with the help of thermal energy from a laser beam, thus creating the component.
At the beginning of the printing process, the 3D data are prepared, for example, with the M PREP software (or other). The object to be created is positioned in the installation space in the optimal position for the construction process, the support geometries are calculated and the software breaks it down into mathematically calculated layers (slicing). The tool paths and traverse paths are then generated automatically.
The starting material, a fine metal powder, is applied over the entire surface of the construction platform. Layer thicknesses of 20-80 µm are possible.
After completing one layer, the construction platform is lowered in the z-direction and the next layer is created.
The LPBF process enables a high resolution of the components with a density of <99.5%.
Numerous post-processing processes such as heat treatment, milling, turning, surface finishing (vibratory grinding, glass bead blasting, corundum blasting, electrochemical polishing, etc.) are possible.
Well thought-out powder circulation
The powder required during a construction job circulates optimally within the BOLDSERIES with the help of the cartridge system, so that a large part of the powder can be reused.
The storage cartridges are used to provide powder as well as to reuse sieved powder. The overflow cartridges serve to collect the processed powder.
