AboutWerth Messtechnik GmbH

The product range extends from classic profile- and measurement projectors with standard solutions for optical 2D and 3D coordinate measurement technology, to highly-advanced coordinate measurement equipment with multiple sensors, such as optics, laser and touch probes and x-ray computed tomography. The company’s goal is to attain a high degree of customer satisfaction through worldclass technical solutions and unlimited user-orientation.

The first profile projector, a floor model, set the benchmark for ergonomics and precision in 1955. In the 1960s through the 1980s, Werth Messtechnik measuring projectors with the optoelectronic sensor “Werth Tastauge” and digital position measurement were developed into CNC coordinate measuring machines. In 1987, the first multisensor coordinate measuring machine with image processing and integrated laser distance sensor was presented under the name Inspector. With the introduction of the VideoCheck product line, Werth pioneered the widespread use of digital image processing in the 1990s. The early use of PC technology as a machine controller and a strictly modular concept introduced high performance at a moderate price. Today, optical sensors such as; 3D Patch, Werth Laser Probe, Chromatic Focus Probe, Nano Focus Probe, and Werth Interferometer Probe are combined with image processing. Classical tactile sensors for measurement of single points or scanning, the patented Werth Contour Probe and the patented Werth 3D Fiber Probe expand the range of applications of the measuring machines. The product line ranges from measuring machines for production inspection to high precision multisensor coordinate measuring machines with length measuring errors in the nanometer range. Linear drives and On-The-Fly technology provide rapid measurement speeds.
