General Compression Ltd (GCL) is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated company founded in 2014. A gap in the market enabled the creation of GCL with a vision to take on the titans of the industry and provide the NZ compressed air market with world class products supported by high level field services.
GCL was born and has now grown into a National provider with nine (9) direct branches located around New Zealand. Our approach to provide high quality 24/7/365 service all year round for a fair price has allowed GCL to grow its customer base and become a serious market leader.
GCL is the sole New Zealand distributor for a number of internationally recognised brands like CompAir, Gardner Denver, Ingersoll Rand, Belliss and Morcom, Reavell, Mitsui Seiki, Cameron, General Compression among others. This group of International Brands falls under the global giant now known as Ingersoll Rand Industrial.
Whilst GCL primarily supplies the CompAir brand the Ingersoll Rand Industrials Group products are expansive and well known to the GCL people. With such a diverse range of products and expertise GCL’s support extends deep into the Industrial compressed air and gas markets both on and offshore.
This partnership and our diverse range of products has allowed GCL to expand nationally to include nine (9) direct locations with a large portfolio of customers from the guy down the road to some of New Zealand’s largest corporations.
Our position in the market allows GCL to operate across many market sectors including Industrial Manufacturing, Geothermal, Aqua Culture, Oil and Gas, Infrastructure, HealthCare, and Technology markets among others.
