Introduction:

Siemens Limited is planning an expansion of two of its 32 factories in India. This move is in addition to the ongoing capacity enhancements at its Power Transformer factory in Kalwa and the Vacuum Interrupter factory in Goa.

Features:

The Smart Infrastructure Business division of Siemens Limited is expanding its factory in Goa to meet the growing demand for essential components in the industry, infrastructure, and power distribution sectors. The expansion will involve an investment of 333 crore, marking the largest investment by Siemens in Goa.

The expanded facility will introduce advanced Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Clean Air GIS (Blue GIS) technologies. These innovations will support customers in sectors like data centers, metro rail, oil & gas, steel, and transmission & distribution in achieving their sustainability targets.
