Our heat treating and tempering services are carried out in furnaces that can reach temperatures as high as 2100° F. Heat treating and tempering are an important component of any metal manufacturing project as the qualities of the base material must often be modified to meet customer standards, especially after the machining process has been completed. Heat treating and tempering are efficient ways to improve product strength and hardness or to soften metals per application requirements.
One of the latest additions to our capabilities is our FARO Edge FaroArm Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). Measurements are taken with a probe at the end of the arm that can be used for 3D inspections, CAD comparison, dimensional analysis, reverse engineering, and more. The Laser Line Probe (LLP) HD laser scanner attachment aids in quicker reverse engineering while providing reliability, repeatability, and highly accurate measurement data.
The Tykma Vereo Fiber Laser Marker with a rotary attachment allows us to etch a variety of font styles and sizes, company logos, and photographs on flat and round surfaces. In addition to our machining, milling, and other metalforming services, we can achieve precision cuts and features using our horizontal and vertical saws.
Fine stones and oil are used in our honing process to remove minute amounts of material from bores. We are capable of applying carbide alloy coatings of high wear resistance and hardness up to 72 Rc known as Carbinite Metal Coatings. The Carbinite coating is ideal for wear reduction and producing a high friction coating for clamping and gripping applications.
CAD and CAM softwares are important components of any design and production shop, and our expertise with SolidWorks 2020 and MasterCam 2020 is second to none. They provide the final piece of our full-service offering, and are available to develop a concept or to modify existing designs.
