Heated Bench Pots

Heated Bench Pots

Heated Bench Pots

Perfect for adding to your existing hot water, oil or steam system. 25-500 gallon capacities in steel or stainless steel.

Heating Element

Like all Sta-Warm equipment, these bench pots have the exclusive Sta-Warm multiple circuit elements uniformly applied to the bottom and sidewalls to provide “even-heat”. The low watt densities used result in long life and trouble-free performance.

Control

The four smaller units have highest quality adjustable bi-metal thermostats with a temperature range of 150 - 550 F. The 20 quart pot is equipped with a bulb and capillary thermostat having a range of 200 - 550 F. Special thermostats are available for use with sulphur, paraffin and other low melting waxes in the 100 - 300 F range, with other special temperature range controls available. Specify temperature when special.

Voltages

Pots are available in single phase voltages of 120, 208, or 240 V., or 50 or 60 cycle.

Types

Sta-Warm supplies four standard sizes of round bench pots through 10 quarts capacity with cast aluminum inner pot, loose cover and removable cord and plug. Inserts with bail are available for the 1 through 10 quart size in mild or stainless steel. The 20 quart unit has a welded mild steel inner pot 13-1/2” diameter x 8-5/8” deep. Covers are standard.

Agitators for Tanks

The purpose of agitating materials being heated is to distribute heat more evenly, to maintain inert material in suspension, to reduce melt-down time, or to blend two or more component materials. For these purposes, Sta-Warm offers three types of agitators as shown here. Agitators are usually motor driven by right angle reduction gear motors of the fully enclosed type or, if necessary, of the explosion proof type.

The simple 2-blade paddle Type “A” rotates horizontally at 29 rpm with blades approximately 1/2” above bottom of tank. This type is usually for maintaining materials in suspension.

Type “B”, with gate-like blades which nearly scrape the tank wall, provides sufficient turbulence to hasten completion of the melt-down process. Speeds are similar to Type “A” above.

Type “C”, which usually operates at 350 rpm, uses marine type propeller and is designed for mixing orblending low viscosity materials.

Other blades of different types are specified for particular operations and certain materials. Always advise as fully as possible the characteristics of the material to be agitated.

With type “A” and “C” agitators, grates, or screens are recommended in the tank.
