WHAT ARE MOLDED CABLE ASSEMBLIES?
Molded cable assemblies are designed to protect the electrical connection between the cable and the connector backshell. The overmold, a flexible plastic part, provides added pull strength and strain relief. Depending on your application requirements, the overmolding for these custom cable assemblies can consist of a custom compound such as an engineering thermoplastic or a low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) material.
