The Schold Variable Immersion Mill – a staple in the milling industry. Immersion mills or basket mills, as they are commonly called, have been around for ages. The basic process is simple: create a vortex to pull product into the work zone and the media inside is agitated to break up particles in the product and disperse them. Many people prefer the immersion mill to a conventional horizontal or vertical mill because they provide rapid and efficient milling as well as easy and economical cleaning. They are also preferred for their efficient use of small quantities of media. The VIM offers all of the efficiency of immersion mills with less of the headache.
