Wire-Cut EDM

A FANUC Wire-Cut EDM was added for intricate unconventional machining. With the addition of wire electrical discharge machining added to our services, We are now able to reduce turnaround times on intricate parts. Some of the processes that we utilize on the Wire EDM are internal spline cutting, internal key ways, internal cams, and custom profiles for tooling and parts. By adding the Wire EDM it has enabled us to expand and be a more innovative manufacturing company.

Custom Tooling

Internal Spline Cutting

With our Wire-Cut EDM we are able to cut almost any type of internal spline. With the process of using a Wire-Cut EDM this allows us to not incur large tooling cost and time associated with traditional spline cutting methods. It also allows us to cut short runs and keep costs low.

Internal Key Ways

By using a Wire-Cut EDM to cut key ways we are able to add tapers to the key way for special applications. We are also able to cut key ways as deep as 15”.
