2M SERIES compressors
RIX 2M compressors feature heavy-duty crosshead construction with two vertical cylinders and full water cooling. The guide cylinders and distance piece are cast into the crankcase for strength and rigidity.
Crankcase: Pressure lubricated with shaft-mounted oil pump and full flow oil filter. Auxiliary pump as required.
Bearings: Tapered roller with sleeve type center main and connecting rod bearings. Bronze wrist pin bushings.
Cylinders: Cast iron, or machined steel for higher pressures. Stainless liners available where required.
Cooling: Efficient water cooling through large passageways in heads, cylinders, gas packings and guide cylinders.
Piston Rings and Packings:
RIX offers a wide selection of self-lubricating piston ring and packing materials. Products from various reputable manufacturers are available depending on the application.
Piston Rods: Stainless steel or Tungsten carbide coated.
Valves: Stainless steel plate type are used in most applications.
