Frame processing PV modules

Production plant for processing aluminum profiles for photovoltaic modules (frame processing PV modules)

Pressta Eisele GmbH offers a production system for sawing, punching and milling AL frame parts of PV modules in 10-second cycles for the subject of frame processing for PV modules. With this solution, an annual capacity of up to 500,000 frames can be achieved. The system is operated by 2 people. The production costs are around €0.24 per frame part.

The production plant frame processing PV modules consists of:

  • Loading magazine for 25 profile bars up to a length of 6,800 mm
  • Feed system with linear motor, travel speed up to 180 m/min.
  • Saw unit with 2 saw heads, adjusted to the length to be sawn and mitres
  • Processing unit with punching units for punching and embossing (earth sign), milling units for drainage holes,
the system can also be expanded with drilling and countersinking units for producing connecting holes
  • Gripper system for transferring the profile sections from the sawing unit to the processing unit to the outfeed conveyor
  • Safety device with fence system or complete noise protection cabin

Working method of frame processing PV modules:

  • An operator places the profile bars on the loading magazine in the individual compartments
  • The sawing unit and the processing unit are manually adjusted to the production length
  • The system is started - the magazine conveys - the first profile is aligned, the gripper tongs on the feed clamp the profile - the feed pushes the profile into the sawing unit - left and right sawing is performed at 45° - the transfer gripper takes the sawn profile and places it it into the machining station, where the machining process starts - at the same time the feed pushes the profile bar back into the saw - the transfer gripper now simultaneously removes the machined and newly sawn profile - the finished profile is placed on the outfeed belt, the newly sawn one back in the machining unit - When the profile bar has been processed, the pusher moves back and takes the next profile bar from the loading magazine - etc
