Rare Metal Thermocouples are temperature sensors used to monitor high temperature processes and environments.
Rare Metal Thermocouples are made from conductors containing platinum and rhodium. They are suited for measuring high temperatures up to 1700° C. The probes are rugged for tough industrial use.
A Rare Metal Thermocouple is protected from the process using recrystalised alumina materials in both the insulator and ceramic sheath.
Rare Metal Thermocouples are available in a variety of designs:
• Rare Metal Thermocouple with Ceramic Sheath
• Rare Metal Thermocouple with Metal Sheath
• Rare Metal Thermocouple with Platinum Thimble
• Rare Metal Thermocouple with Full Platinum Thimble
There are three types of Rare Thermocouples, Type R, Type S and Type B.
