Base Metal Thermocouples are temperature sensors used to monitor processes and environments up to maximum temperature of 1200° C.
Base Metal Thermocouples are similar to Rare Metal Thermocouples, however base metal is more cost effective and can withstand a lower maximum temperature of 1200° C. Base Metal Thermocouples are made from conductors containing nickel alloys. The probes are rugged for tough industrial use.
Base Metal Thermocouples are available in a variety of designs:
• Base Metal Thermocouple with Ceramic Sheath
• Base Metal Thermocouple with Metal Sheath
There are five types of Base Thermocouples, Type J, Type K, Type N, Type E and Type T.
