Continuous Vertical Conveyors (CVCs)
NERAK Continuous Vertical Conveyors (CVCs) are used to elevate or lower containers, boxes, trays, packages, sacks, bags, luggage, pallets, barrels, kegs, and other articles with a solid surface between two levels, quickly and consistently at high capacity; on automatically loading platforms, in "S" or "C" configuration, on a minimum footprint.
Also known in the industry as S-Conveyors, box lifters or vertical lift units, NERAK Continuous Vertical Conveyors run in postal sorting facilities for trays and totes, airports and seaports for luggage handling, in industrial distribution warehouses, and in production facilities of all sorts.
Continuous vertical conveyors can be used for conveying upward and downward, and can be as high as 120 ft, while the small footprint compared to incline or spiral-type conveyors saves up to 90% of valuable floor space.
Conveyor Sections
Platforms come in many different styles, including simple polyester rod style platforms, mesh style platforms, and flat bar platforms; special platforms for round shapes like rolls of insulation or platforms for luggage transport are also available.
All platforms ensure the smooth, stable, and gentle transport of items and material. Attached at each corner to Rubber Block Chains, the platforms feature unidirectional flexing, ensuring a stiff, flat surface to carry the product.
For discharge, the platform transfers, without stopping, onto the running take-away conveyor.
Feed conveyors load the conveyed material onto the platforms. The feed conveyors start and stop automatically and can be designed as belt, roller, or chain conveyors.
Casings are available as extruded aluminum profile frames, welded and painted tubular carbon steel frames, welded tubular stainless steel frames, and welded tubular stainless steel frames for food applications for easy cleaning. Carbon steel casings can be powder-coated or painted with enamel or epoxy paint. Stainless Steel casings can be provided in different qualities, such as 304 and 316.
Lift safety cladding can be made of perforated aluminum sheets, steel sheets, clear plastic sheets or safety glass. They protect your lift and product, and ensure a safe work environment. Perforated aluminum sheets, clear plastic sheets and safety glass are perfect to monitor your conveyor at all times.
All NERAK continuous vertical conveyors are equipped with generously dimensioned service and monitoring openings, and have removable covers for maintenance access.
