SAM Upper Level Automatic Guided Cart Control System

SmartCart AGCs can operate as standalone vehicles, or under control of an easily configured, scalable upper level control architecture with proven, real time wireless communications between the vehicles and upper level controller. This upper level controller, referred to as SAM, was designed by worldwide AGV leader Daifuku/Webb as a single control system capable of running both Automatic Guided Carts as well as Automatic Guided Vehicles. There is no other AGV control architecture in the world with this level of control flexibility built into it.

SAM is the result of more than 60 years of experience engineering, manufacturing and installing more than 20,000 vehicles. Daifuku/Webb developed SAM’s framework so it can be easily customized to meet customers’ individual needs and improve the efficiency of AGC as well as AGV systems.
