With its additional tappings of ±5%, the control transformer compensates for undervoltage or overvoltage in the network and can dampen the short-circuit current in the event of a fault, so that the auxiliary circuits can be operated unearthed. It has two separate windings. Sizes are single-phase up to 25 kVA and multi-phase up to 40 kVA possible. The windings can be implemented using plug-in soldering lugs, transformer terminals or lugs.
