The conversion is performed while maintaining the machine housing and the large-scale column guides, and thus also ensures the decisive advantages of the OHLER cold circular saw machine for the utilization with carbide-tipped tools.
Such a modification essentially consists of:
An increase of the drive performance, while maintaining the input speed at the gearbox. Increase of the output speed of the saw shaft through an alteration of the reduction ratio in the gearbox. Installation of a frequency converter for the variable pre-selection of the required cutting speed between the six transmission switching steps. Attachment of vibration damping elements, as well as cooling, lubrication and chip removal systems. Adjustment of the machine hydraulics to the requirements. Expansion of the work-piece clamping for a cutting gap widening to protect the blades during the saw blade return. Installation of a PLC controller (Siemens S7). A tool breakage monitoring can be adapted.
Last but not least, this modification provides a significant price advantage compared to the new purchase of a machine with an absolutely comparable cutting performance.
