The OPTIFLUX 4400 electromagnetic flowmeter (EMF) is developed in accordance with IEC 61508 for safety-related applications up to safety integrity level (SIL) 2/3. It features automated partial proof testing capabilities, which allows to extend the time interval between full proof tests and increase plant uptime in safety instrumented systems (SIS)

Next to safety applications, the OPTIFLUX 4400 is particularly suitable for process applications with high accuracy requirements and difficult flow conditions such as pulsating and turbulent flow. Due to its wide selection of lining and electrode materials it can well be used for flow measurement and dosing of chemicals and corrosive liquids such as acids. Utilising the EMF's improved conductivity measurement, operators can also monitor a defined range of conductivity.
