Electric Cylinders EC1 Series

The EC1 Series offers a limited range of application solutions designed to reduce cost and minimize cylinder frame size by 30 to 40 percent compared to other Kollmorgen cylinders. Made for plug-and-play capability with a variety of Kollmorgen drives, this design is perfect for converting from pneumatic applications at a low cost, within a small frame size, while achieving excellent performance.

Features

Motors available for use with the EC1 Series include:

• Kollmorgen CTP12 Series hybrid stepper motor (P7000 drive recommended)
• Kollmorgen AKM11B and AKM13C Series AKM™ brushless servo motors
• X17 (NEMA 17 motor ready, 8 mm motor shaft diameter)

• Max stroke length: 200 mm (7.9 in)
• Max thrust: 667 N (150 lbf)
• Ball screw driven with 3.175 mm lead
• Stepper, brushless servo and custom motor options
• Bearing/drive housing: 6063-T6 aluminum, anodized
• Mounting plates: 6061-T6 aluminum, cast aluminum plate, anodized
• Thrust bearings: angular contact, high thrust ball bearings
• Thrust tube: 300 series stainless steel, 1/4 hard and ground
• Ball screw and nut: heat-treated carbon steel alloy
