5050 Sanitary Sensors
Description:
Sanitary style, optoelectronic liquid level sensor with a 1½" Tri-Clover® process connection and a Basic, low-level, current output. Input voltage is 5-28 VDC. Standard probe lengths may vary from 0.38" to 3.50" long. (See Ordering Information.) The sensor contains two active elements, an infrared L.E.D. and a matching phototransistor.
It is intended for use with one of several, remotely installed, Kinematics' Smart-Bloc® or Smart-Board® controllers. The controllers provide these sensors with switching hysterisis, ambient light immunity, programmability, fault detection, and dry contact switching. Because of their inherent simplicity, they are an ideal choice for Class I intrinsically safe applications.
The one-piece sensor body, sanitary flange and probe are seamlessly molded from Udel® Polysulfone, an F.D.A. approved, high-performance engineering thermoplastic. Other materials, such as Isoplast®, P.F.A. Teflon®, Polymethylpentene (T.P.X.), and Kel-F® can be provided on special order.
The back end is threaded ½" N.P.T. male pipe thread for mounting any standard electrical condolet or junction box. Four (4) 12" long, 20 AWG wire leads are typical. Face gasket is sold separately.
