Insert-type industrial thermal flow meter for dry gas measurement
Kurz's family of thermal dispersion mass flowmeters include insert-mount, in-line and multi-point sensing elements for use in air, industrial gases, burners and ultrapure gases in a wide variety of applications. When compared to differential pressure measurement systems (orifice plates, Venturi tubes, etc.), the advantages of the thermal flow meter are numerous: direct mass measurement without the need for temperature and pressure compensation, better accuracy, greater rangeability, lower pressure drop, fewer connections and lower installation cost.
The 454FTB Industrial Insert Type Thermal Flow Meter for Dry Gas Measurement includes the qualities and features found in all Kurz constant temperature thermal flow meters. The insertion method of installation allows the meter to be mounted in existing ducts or pipes, from metering lines and fuel gas supply lines to aeration lines, small chimneys and flares at temperatures up to 500º C.
