PIN MANUFACTURING

The patent-pending planetarium of our pin production machines ensures a high degree of flexibility in the shape of the individual pins. Thanks to the programmable axes, these can be bent into almost any desired shape. To increase productivity, up to two units can bend at the same time. Two grippers ensure a high and constant feed speed of the wire and the automated bobbin changer ensures uninterrupted production. Cutting and chamfering in one operation shortens the cycle time and simplifies the insertion and welding of the pins.

Our system solutions for pin production are therefore resource-saving, space-saving and at the same time enable an almost unlimited variety of variants. The different pin shapes can be manufactured directly one after the other and without interrupting production. With this innovation in pin production, you can implement your very specific ideas and directly test the latest findings from research and development.

The station is loaded with enameled copper wire on a spool in just a few simple steps. The following steps are fully automated.

AUTOMATED PROCESS:

• Controlled and continuous unwinding of the enamelled copper wire by two alternating grippers
• two-dimensional straightening of the wire in specific unit
• Removal of the insulation layer on the fly (mechanical / laser)
• Separating and phasing of sections in cutting unit
• Shapes of 2D or 3D pins in the planetarium

After the pins have been shaped according to the customer's requirements, the system transfers them to the next station for pin assembly. Here the pins are automatically inserted into the insulated slots of the stator pack.
