Doosan Cobot safety

Doosan cobots are the safest cobots on the market. In January 2019, the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) published its definition of collaborative robots in an article titled: "IFR publishes collaborative industrial robot definition and estimates supply". A distinction was made between which cobots meet the requirements of ISO 10218-1 and which do not.ISO 10218-1 is an international standard that regulates the safety design, protective actions and guidelines of industrial robots. Doosan far exceeds these minimum standards.

Doosan Robotics is able to offer a world-class product through six joint torque sensors, five different workspaces and numerous international certifications, all of which work together to create a uniquely optimized, safe environment. Without the torque sensors, there is no option but to detect force from changes in the electrical current used by the motor.

Doosan cobots, on the other hand, are equipped with powerful torque sensors on each joint, so they can immediately sense any force applied to the joints. This makes them very sensitive to collision detection and much safer than other brands that use conventional current control methods or have torque sensors on only one or two axes.
