BRIGHT NICKEL APPLICATIONS
Bright nickel is used in a variety of industries to achieve a leveled, ductile and bright finish. Most of the applications for bright nickel rely on the nickel for a decorative appearance with corrosion protection and wear resistance.
Many items around the house, including hand tools, are plated in bright nickel to improve their appearance, wear and corrosion protection. Such items may include plumbing supplies, light fixtures or wire racks. You may also find bright nickeled components on furniture, walkers or wheel chairs.
CMT offers bright nickel plating on aluminum, brass and copper material.

MORE ABOUT BRIGHT NICKEL
Nickel provides a decorative appearance because of its ability to cover imperfections in the base metal (leveling). Bright Nickel deposits also offer better wearability than softer metals such as copper or zinc whereby being used when wear resistance is needed. Since nickel is magnetic it can sometimes be utilized when magnetization is needed. Finally, since bright nickel is a low stress application, it can be utilized in the aerospace or electroforming industry where stress needs to be held to a minimum.
