Classic Sheet Metal has expertly assembled complex forms of sheet metal housings, rack mounts, and card-cages. Fully producing each metal part from the ground up; Classic Sheet Metal manufactures accompanying brackets, stiffeners and supports, and all other items needed for the assembly to be complete.

Over the years, Classic Sheet Metal has continually enhanced their contract assembly line inspection processes to ensure quality by inspecting each part during each stage of the assembly.

Air pressure torque guns and wrenches that are calibrated per use, and precisely illustrated work instructions that spell out every step of the required assembly, Classic Sheet Metal ensures that your contract assembly project will be produced exactly as you request.

Classic Sheet Metal has adapted its contract assembly areas to handle multiple electro-static discharge stations (ESD).  Using this static free environment, we are now equipped to meet an ever-widening field of connectors, wire looms, and live circuit boards.

Contract Assembly Defined

Contract assembly is a term used for companies that offer contracts for electronic assembly for another company. For example, instead of attempting to install and wire complex circuit boards in fabricated metal housings themselves, OEM companies often outsource their manufacturing operations to Classic Sheet Metal. In effect, contract assembly providers do not post their brand name on any product, and both the design and brand name belongs to the OEM.

Many well-known companies use contract assembly as an alternative to operating and maintaining their own factories.

Contract assembly can be used for anything from single components to complete units. Computers and telecommunications components are examples of products that are made using this method.
