PERMANENT MAGNET VIBRATION EXCITER

Versatile and dependable, Type 4808 incorporates a design based on magnetic-alloy technology to produce excitation. This exciter is suitable for a variety of research and educational applications that include vibration testing of small objects, measuring mechanical impedance and studying structural response.Type 4808 has a wide frequency range (5 Hz – 10 kHz), a peak-to-peak displacement of 12.7 mm (0.5 in) and can deliver peak sine forces of up to 187 N (42 lbf) with assisted air-cooling or up to 112 N (25 lbf) without. For optimal performance, we recommend pairing this exciter with Power Amplifier Type 2719, but it can also be driven by third-party units.

To meet your specific testing needs, Type 4808 can be customized with a range of accessories, including trunnions, power amplifiers, nylon stingers, push-pull rods, force transducers and impedance heads.
