Incremental encoders provide position information for a rotating shaft by producing a continuous series of pulses. These pulses correspond to increments of resolution on the code disk. Incremental thru-bore and hollow-bore encoders are designed to mount directly to a rotating shaft which passes through the encoder. A flexible tether mount keeps the encoder from rotating with the shaft and absorbs shaft run-out or endplay, minimizing loads on the encoder bearings. Motor-mount style encoders feature a machined housing that attaches a hollow-bore encoder to the NEMA frame motor. To meet varied industrial feedback requirements, BEPC offers a broad range of incremental thru-bore and motor mount encoders.
