THE PROBLEM

The processing of fish and meat is subject to strict regulations: The production process has to be completely hygienic. It must be possible to track the origin of every product. Fish and meat have to have a consistent quality.

THE SOLUTION

The research company SINTEF from the Norwegian city of Trondheim is currently working to automate and optimize the way these foods are processed. For the processing, SINTEF uses the highly efficient six-axis robot of the model VS-087 produced by DENSO Robotics. With over 2200 employees SINTEF is one of Norway’s biggest research facilities.

The data of a storage medium, such as a flash memory, can easily be saved in a file by using software. This is called an image or data carrier image.

An image (data carrier image) is a one-to-one copy of one or more partitions of the storage medium used. The operating system, programs and data, including their position, are saved on a data carrier. If the image is copied from the data carrier to another storage medium, it results in an exact image, bit for bit identical to the original.

The only additional factors that will influence an ignition are whether or not a flammable/combustible atmosphere is present in the path of the spark discharge and if the energy in the spark exceeds the minimum ignition energy of the atmosphere.
