Proudly a family business with a dedication to engineering excellence and responsive customer service, Slaters Electricals has grown from a one-man agency in 1923, incorporated as a limited company in 1946, to a sixty strong team across our two sites in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Sheffield. We offer the UK’s largest stock of immediately available quality new and refurbished power and distribution equipment for sale or hire alongside expert contracting & installation, maintenance, site and spare part services.

Our Facilities
Our Head Office and main works are based at our company owned 3.5 acre site at Blaydon, west of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
The modern 10,000 sq metre works contains storage for our vast stock of transformers, switchgear & spares and the following in-house facilities:
- Three dedicated manufacturing areas
- Two high voltage electrical testing bays rated to 33kV, complete with state-of-the-art Omicron, T&R and Megger test equipment
- Two spray painting bays complete with curing facilities
- Shot-blasting chamber
- Heavy lifting cranes throughout
- Integrated oil recovery and refilling system throughout
- Purpose built metal fabrication workshop
- Four fully accessible loading bays
