Powertran Corporation

Founded in 1956, Powertran was an "internal" division of Weltronics, who made all of the transformers for their automotive welding systems/controllers. Then, in the early 1980s (when vertical integration was no longer fashionable) Powertran was sold to a pair of up-and-comers in the electrical industry. They emulated Powertran's earlier success and continued the growth model of design/manufacturer of transformers specifically for OEMs. Today, Powertran continues that same philosophy of slow & steady growth with the focus on service, quality & legendary customer referrals.
