About Nema Enclosures

In 1987, a NASA employee started NE in a small rented warehouse in Houston, TX custom fabricating enclosures for a handful of customers in the evening and weekends. In January of 2000 the current owner and CEO, Rob Bohn, purchased the business to get back to his manufacturing and engineering roots.

Since that time, NE has grown to be the leader of custom make-to-order electrical enclosures in the gulf coast with a strong focus on third part certification and customization on electrical enclosures.

Our enclosure products have grown from simple wall mount enclosures to custom MCC Drop-over enclosures and multi-door multiple compartment enclosures housing both electrical and pneumatic devices.

Our specialty is small production-run custom enclosures designed exactly to your specifications and certifications to be installed anywhere in the world. Our fabrication facility is designed around quick set-up and rapid tooling change out so we can accommodate nearly any order size, material, or quantity. We also offer third-party certifications from UL listed products up to NEMA 4X rating to ATEX/IECEx certification for hazardous locations.
